In what has been one of the most drawn-out striptease campaigns ever, Rolls-Royce will finally take the wraps off the 2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost.
If you haven't seen images of the car's predecessor, the 200EX concept, or one of hundreds of unofficial spy shots that have peppered the Web over the past year, you've probably been asleep at the wheel.
A quick refresher for the somnambulant: The Ghost is powered by a 563-horsepower twin-turbo 6.6-liter V12 and rides on an "intelligent" air suspension system. The rear doors are rear hinged, like those of the larger Phantom, and the front doors house logo umbrellas.
Among the features on the production model are four-zone automatic climate control, a head-up display, a 600-watt 16-speaker audio system and rear, front-side and top-view cameras.
Options include a night-vision system, a lane-departure warning system, a panoramic sunroof, individual perforated-leather lounge seating with cooling and massage functions, an illuminated cool box with champagne glasses, leather and veneer picnic tables built into the front seatbacks and a choice of 20-inch wheels and tires.
